new stick: thanks, Travis Reynolds

Travis Reynolds is a quiet artist and shaper. Olin can relate. A meeting of minds yielded this longboard: 8'8 x 21 x 2 1/2. Clear, cedar / basswood stringer, volan glass with deck patch and white glass-on single fin. Pig-esque the way olin likes it.

Travis' boards are beautiful. He often incorporates resin tints and pieces of cool fabric as in-lays. Check his site here:  http://reynoldssurfboards.blogspot.com/

Thank you, Joel Tudor

It was so fun having the Vans / Joel Tudor Duct Tape Invitational in town this past weekend. Seeing Steamer Lane overtaken by the world's best log riders was sick. And how about Al Knost?

rivermouth redux

Antsy to try out his recently shaped longboard, Olin set out for the eastside. A brief stop by the rivermouth revealed fast but glassy, waist-high waves and no one out...

Not a bad way to end the day...

mini mini-simmons x winter storms = rivermouth fun

Bitten by the shaping bug, Olin recently turned out his first shape: a 3'6" (yes, 42 inches) twin fin with salvaged bamboo glass-ons and dubbed the "assassin voleur" (or "thief slayer" --on account of the recent theft of his beloved longboard...)
